Beach Collection

I am super excited to announce the Beach Collection is now available!

 

 

If you've been following along the making of the Beach Collection, I'm now done with the design process, making the products, and photography. Now I'm in the midst of marketing, and it should (hopefully) start to be fun soon! At the moment though, it's a lot of hard work and not all of it is super interesting yet.

Step 2: Photography

The next step in launching my new product line is photography, now that I'm done with all but the beach bag, it's time to hurry up and get good photos to put out there. I was taking pictures the other day and I had just gotten my new camera, it's funny I thought this process was gonna be easier than it was, you know just snap, pop on the computer and edit. Well I was wrong. This is my first time using a Nikon brand camera and I was so surprised when I pulled the pictures up to edit. They weren't even image files. Wait what. So I don't know why they do that in the first place(they must have some reason for it though, right?), but all I could do then was try to find an online converter to convert them into image files (such as .jpg or .png). Even now I'm still trying to figure out what to do for an easier method then converting each picture one by one. (I'm obviously a beginner, when it comes to photography) If you know an easier method leave a comment below.

But good news is the product line is looking amazing, and I want to keep all of the products! :P I can't wait to share them with you, I hope you love them as much as I do!

Shop improvement: Step 1

Step 1: Design New Products

This is so exciting! I've come up with a new business plan and I'm going to be blogging along as I go through it!

As you can see step one is the designing process. Sooo over the next few weeks I'm going to design and create new products that I absolutely love! Now that you know what's going on I'll tell you what's been done already and what still needs to be done. Okay so first, things aleady done:

• Find fabric I love and invision the new products

• Sketch out the new designs based on the fabrics I got and the styles I love and want to incorporate into my products and shop

and the next steps are to...

• Make a sample of each new product

• Then test that product, durablity, wash/care, how much can fit in it if it's a bag, and how funtional and practical it is.

• Once I've tested it and come up with the best version of that product, I'll make more and stock the shelves with the new products

• Then on to the next step...

If you've ever seen the movie Return to Nim's Island, the bag Nim carries is actually what inspired this bag. I would love to go shell hunting with this bag then maybe go for a quick swim before going in and hanging this lovely bag out to dry in the salty breeze...

Big Changes

Liv's Bags is making some new changes, including the name, Liv's Bags is now Liv's Market Place. We will also be improving products, and scratching some altogether, and adding new products including crocheted products such as scarves, earwarmers, and wristwarmers.
